BODY TATTOO AFTER CARE REQUIREMENTS
Leave clear second skin on for two nights. Remove in the shower slowly from top to bottom with soap and water. Wash tattoo gently but thoroughly using fingertips and mild soap like dove or plain bar of soap. Wash off all the plasma and blot the excess plasma with damp paper towel. Please make sure there are no shiny areas, plasma left behind can scab and we want to avoid this.
If bandaged with absorbant pads, leave on overnight, shower and wash in the morning. Your tattoo will seep throughout the night and the bandage absorbs the plasma.
*Wash your tattoo everyday until it is healed (4-6 weeks).
*After a few days the tattoo will get dry or itchy, use a small amount plain handcream. (Aveeno, lubriderm). Less is more, 2 times/day max.
*Never apply cream immediately after a shower, let it dry out!
*Do not wear clothing that can irritate it in any way - avoid all friction.
*Do not immerse in water for 3-4 weeks.
*Do not expose it to sun OR sunscreen for 6 weeks.
*Ice while the bandage is on to reduce swelling.
*Leave it alone and let it do its thing, it will flake like a sunburn.
